ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES.
Other duties may be assigned.
Performance
Responsibilities:
Þ
Handles all
correspondence for Athletic Director and all coaches.
Þ
Schedules
for each opponent for all sports.
Þ
Writes
letters.
Þ
Checks off
officials/assignments for all sports.
Þ
Corresponds
with Booker of Officials for all scheduling of officials.
Þ
Types memos
from Athletic Director to coaches, administrators/faculty within District 50.
Þ
Compiles
statistical information from off season weight testing program.
Þ
Enters
scouting reports of statistics into computer on Sunday evening during football
season.
Þ
Compiles
statistics collected from computer and prepares copies of game plan for each
coach.
Þ
Keeps
records on each participant of all sports and verifies eligibility with school
registrar.
Þ
Handles all
aspects of school insurance for athletes including sales, money collection,
coverage and verification of coverage.
Þ
Collects
interim reports, semester grades, and mid-year grades for athletes.
Þ
Coordinates
appointments for athletes for mid-year conferences.
Þ
Collects
grades of high school and middle school athletes to determine summer school
enrollment.
Þ
Receives
phone calls, visitors, and schedules appointments.
Þ
Orders all
tickets, keeps listing of reserved and non-reserved and complimentary tickets.
Þ
Distributes
season and regular tickets to businesses, collects proceeds from ticket sales,
and works with booster club on membership and ticket sales.
Þ
Handles all
aspects of sports banquets including list of players, preparing facilities and
programs, etc.
Þ
Notifies parents,
arranges admission, handles publicity, writes script for announcement on senior
recognition night.
Þ
Makes all
arrangements for picture day.
Þ
Handles all
details involving football camp, quarterback camp, jamborees, playoff games,
tournaments, etc.
Þ
Solicits
ads, collects money, and submits them to printer for football programs.
Þ
Performs
clerical duties for Athletic Director.
Þ
Coordinates
transportation schedules, vehicle keys and gas cards.
Þ
Performs
necessary functions to coordinate Booster Club.
Þ
Notifies
coaches of required clinics.
Þ
Handles all
details necessary for ticket boxes for all sporting events.
Þ
Arranges
for security for sporting events and submits information to bookkeeper.
Þ
Coordinates
necessities for officials and traveling teams.
Þ
Keeps
computerized records of receipts and disbursements for each sport and issues
monthly report.
Þ
Orders
athletic letter jackets.

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of
experience; or Associates Degree in secretarial science and one year of
experience; or BS degree in business education or secretarial science. Must be able
to effectively deal with the public, students and staff both in person and on
the phone.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators,
managers, employee, clients, customers and/or the general public.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING
ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data,
establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
OTHER
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to develop effective working
relationships with staff and students. Ability to communicate clearly and
concisely. Ability to perform duties
with awareness of all district requirements and the Board of Education
policies.
