Position Description
POSITION TITLE: Community Services Facilitator
Department: Administration
Reports To: Superintendent
SUMMARY: Reports directly to
the superintendent and facilitates within the district internal and external
communications to enhance knowledge and understanding of programs offered. Supports special activities and events within
the district and serves as a liaison to the community at-large.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s
degree in communications or related field;
·
Effective
interpersonal skills;
·
Experience
in public relations, public education, communications, or related fields;
·
Demonstrated
expertise in all aspects of communications, including media relations,
effective public speaking, publications design, digital photography and Web
services;
·
Demonstrated
ability to work successfully with diverse populations;
·
Demonstrated
ability to organize programs from conception to completion; and
·
Experience
in organizing and leading group meetings.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read,
analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,
technical instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports,
procedure manuals and business correspondence. Ability to respond to common
inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the
business community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with
mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and
fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define
problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw
valid conclusions.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to interpret a
variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram forms and deal
with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements
and the Board of Education policies.
