POSITION TITLE: Assistant Lunchroom Manager

SUMMARY:
Keeps records of participation and receipts for the manager. Takes
the manager's place in the absence of the manager. Prepares for a manager's position. Familiar with and performs all kitchen duties if needed.

the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Assists the
manager in planning and directing the preparation and serving of food in the
cafeteria.

Assists in
the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
Þ
Maintains
knowledge on how to run accountability functions.
SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all lunchroom staff, especially in the
absence of the manager. Carries out
supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations' policies and
applicable laws. Responsibilities
include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising
performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully,

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED and one year
experience in cafeteria or restaurant work. Demonstrated aptitude for
successful completion of the tasks assigned.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract two digit numbers and
to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and
weight measurement, volume and distance.
REASONING
ABILITY:
Ability to apply simple understanding to carry
out detailed but basic written and/or oral instructions.
OTHER
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to develop effective working
relationships with staff and the school community. Ability to communicate
clearly and concisely. Ability to
perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and the Board of
Education policies.

The employee frequently must reach above the head and reach forward. The employee continuously uses hand strength
to grasp utensils.
