POSITION TITLE: Psychological Services - Clerk II

SUMMARY: Provides quality support for Psychological
Services
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned.
Þ Transcribes
and corrects various correspondence, reports and notices related to
psychological services.
Þ Duplicates
materials as necessary for inservice programs conducted by the school
psychologists.
Þ Maintains
a regular filing system.
Þ Processes
incoming correspondence as instructed.
Þ Places
and receives telephone calls, and records messages.
Þ Maintains
a schedule of appointments and makes arrangements for conferences and
interviews.
Þ Obtains,
gathers and organizes pertinent data as needed, and puts it into usable form
for the Director of Special Services and Consultant for Psychological Services.
Þ Gathers
data for the various reports required by federal and state programs relating to
the handicapped.
Þ Promptly
and thoroughly completes assignments and attend to details accurately and
efficiently.
Þ Maintains
a record of files that are ready to be destroyed and follows the proper
procedures for the destruction of files.

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D. Must be able to
effectively deal with the public both in person and on the phone. Must be
familiar with the use of the dictaphone, electric typewriter, personal
computer, 10-key adding machine and Xerox machine
LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple
instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple
correspondence. Ability to speak
effectively with other employees, the general public and students.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit
numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
REASONING
ABILITY:
Ability to apply simple understanding to carry
out detailed but basic written and/or oral instructions.
OTHER
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to pass a District typing test. Ability to develop effective working
relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to
communicate clearly and concisely.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements
and the Board of Education policies.

bells, buzzers, beeps, etc.
