SUMMARY: Provides quality support for Psychological
Services.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned.
Þ Transcribes
and corrects various correspondence, reports and notices related to
Psychological Services.
Þ Duplicates
materials as necessary for inservice programs conducted by the school
psychologists.
Þ Performs
the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive
and smoothly run office.
Þ Maintains
a regular filing system.
Þ Processes
incoming correspondence as instructed.
Þ Places
and receives telephone calls and takes messages.
Þ Orders
and maintains office supplies for Psychological Services.
Þ Maintains
a schedule of appointments and makes arrangements for conferences and
interviews.
Þ Obtains,
gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed, and puts it into usable form
for the Director of Special Services and Consultant for Psychological Services.
Þ Gathers
data for the various reports required by federal and state programs relating to
the handicapped.
Þ Promptly
and thoroughly completes assignments and attends to details accurately and
efficiently.
Þ Processes
new referrals, monitors evaluation process, types reports, and completes
placement for ensuring all necessary forms are completed on each student.
Þ Completes
bus forms and assists the transportation department in coordinating
transportation for special education students.
Þ Keeps
current special education rolls and relates necessary changes to appropriate
school personnel.
Þ Coordinates
the scheduling process of contracted evaluations.
Þ Collects
and processes all necessary information for re-evaluations as they come due.
Þ Processes
IEP reviews when turned in by teachers.

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D. Must be able to
effectively deal with the public both in person and on the phone. Must be
familiar with the use of the dictaphone, electric typewriter, personal
computer, 10-key adding machine and Xerox machine.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group
situations to customers, clients, other employees and/or students.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to add subtract, multiply, and divide in
all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING
ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal
with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists.
OTHER
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to pass a District typing test. Ability to develop effective working
relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to
communicate clearly and concisely.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements
and the Board of Education policies.

peripheral vision. Employee must be able to distinguish the difference between bells,
buzzers, beeps, etc.
