Position Description

 

POSITION TITLE:    Clerk IV Registrar

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Þ      Adds and deletes students to proper class rolls.

Þ      Enters new and returning students in computer system.

Þ      Distributes and collects grade transmittals.

Þ      Makes entries on proper forms for grade changes.

Þ      Receives and distributes report cards.

Þ      Distributes and collects grade verification forms.

Þ      Checks GPR for entering students.

Þ      Gives GPR information to counselors, Beta Club and National Honor Society advisors.

Þ      Completes records for seniors - total credits and date of graduation.

Þ      Puts student ID pictures on records.

Þ      Responsible for all transcript functions,

Þ      Assists Athletic Director with eligibility forms.

Þ      Types diploma list for graduates and sends to State Department of Education.

Þ      Verifies credits for graduates.

Þ      Send honor roll to Index-Journal twice a year.

Þ      Supplies lists of graduates for class reunions.

Þ      Posts summer school grades on records of returning students.

Þ      Adds summer school grades to GPR.

Þ      Processes schedules.

Þ      Makes disposition of schedules to counselors.

Þ      Assists with student registration.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to effectively deal with the public and staff both in person and on the phone.

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports, scientific and technical journals, and legal documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

 

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Ability to develop effective working relationships with staff, students and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.  Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and the Board of Education policies.
