Greenwood School District 50 Position Description
POSITION TITLE: Director of School/Parental Involvement
Department: Instruction
Reports To: Assistant Superintendent for Instruction
SUMMARY:
Responsible for effectively developing parenting workshops and learning
opportunities for the community, leads in planning development of literacy
strategies, coordinates community interagency collaboration, and coordinates
court issues with individual schools.

SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises the Parenting Case Manager and
the Title I Parenting Secretary.

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE:
Masters Degree in social work. Certification as Social Worker III. At least three years of successful experience
in social work.
LANGUAGE
SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret
scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write speeches and articles for
publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively
present information to administrators, top management, public groups/community,
and Board of Education.
MATHEMATICAL
SKILLS:
Ability to apply concepts such as
fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING
ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data,
establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
OTHER
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to develop effective working
relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely,
both orally and in writing. Ability to
perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and the Board of
Education policies.
