Fine Arts Magnet School Teaching Position

(Core Academic Area)

2007-2008 School Year

 

To qualify for this position, the individual should possess Gifted/Talented endorsement and South Carolina certification in one or more Middle School core academic areas.  The candidate should also meet the NCLB definition of Highly Qualified.  Individuals in the process of completing the Gifted/Talented endorsement are invited to apply.  The position requires a commitment to plan and assist in after-school productions.

 

Applications must include a letter of interest with a detailed resume and a minimum of three professional references.  Current District 50 employees need only to provide a letter of interest.  Review of applications will begin on February 23, 2007 and continue until the position is filled.

To qualify for this position, the individual should possess a current South Carolina certification in music with emphasis in strings/orchestra, instrumental and/or chorus music instruction.  The position requires a commitment to plan and assist in after-school productions.  Gifted/Talented endorsement is beneficial, but not required.

Qualifications include proper SC administrative certification, effective communication and interpersonal skills, proven leadership in curriculum design and analysis, experience in technology application, a record of promoting affirmative action and equal opportunity, and creativity in developing and implementing successful professional development programs, as well as any other alternatives the Board of Trustees may require.

SALARY RANGE:

$22,927-$24,341 (based on job-related experience)
