There’s not much that can be said about RefDesk.com – except that it is the
most complete set of reference materials on the web. There is access to several important search
engines, dictionaries and thesauri, people searches, white pages, newspapers,
photos, news sources, science and technology, encyclopedias – and virtually
(no pun intended) everything else you might need to find on the web. This is an important “favorite” to add to
your web browser for all those times when you need to find something fast.

evolution of the eye. The links are
arranged by study questions, such as, “How do animals see?” and “Who has the
sharpest vision?” Resources include
dissections, hundreds of eye pictures, the differences among mammal, insect,
fish, other types of eyes, and more.

Periodic Table Adventure

Welcome to the Periodic Table ADventure website!
This website was created in accordance with the 8th grade chemistry
curriculum. The goal of this website
is to introduce and explore basic chemistry concepts and to practice these
concepts using engaging web-based research and activities. This website includes a history of the
periodic table, reading the table, inside the atom, and other resources. The “Teacher’s Corner” includes materials
and resources for teaching the lessons. In the culminating activity, students
will perform a WebQuest, which requires them to
research an element using the Internet.
All WebQuest resources are included.
