RefDesk.com
http://www.refdesk.com
There’s not much that can be said about RefDesk.com – except that it is the most complete set of reference materials on the web.  There is access to several important search engines, dictionaries and thesauri, people searches, white pages, newspapers, photos, news sources, science and technology, encyclopedias – and virtually (no pun intended) everything else you might need to find on the web.  This is an important “favorite” to add to your web browser for all those times when you need to find something fast.

This site contains a list of websites on the biology, diversity, and evolution of the eye.  The links are arranged by study questions, such as, “How do animals see?” and “Who has the sharpest vision?”  Resources include dissections, hundreds of eye pictures, the differences among mammal, insect, fish, other types of eyes, and more.  Be sure to check the “Eye to Eye Gallery” link at the bottom of the page.  It has photos, questions, and links to almost everything there is to know about eyes.

School Websites
http://www.oswego.org/staff/cchamber/webdesign/edwebdesign.htm
This page was created to provide teachers with tools to help them successfully create dynamic web pages for their students. There are links to sites where you can obtain free graphics, sound files, and animated gifs. Other pages focus on helping educators understand about educational web design. Links to sites containing components like web counters, html tips, tune up sites, etc. will also be found.  Teachers can also browse through the links of web pages that educators and students have created that fit the categories listed on this page.  This website shows how to create web lessons, learning webs, class pages, web quests, virtual field trips, student webpages, educational resource pages, Internet projects, scavenger hunts, and tutorials – all for use by teachers, students, parents, and others who want to help students learn.
