Do-Not-Call Registry
http://www.DoNotCall.gov
The National Do Not Call Registry is managed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency.  The registry was created to offer consumers a choice regarding telemarketing calls.  It gives consumers an opportunity to limit the telemarketing calls they receive.  If you register now, most telemarketers will be required to remove the numbers on the registry from their call lists by October 1, 2003, when the National Do Not Call Registry will be enforced.  If you register later, your telephone number must be removed within three months of registration.  The website has information for consumers, for businesses that use telemarketing to contact potential customers, and for media outlets.  The online registration process is simple:  (1) give your phone numbers and email address, (2) confirm your phone numbers and email address, and (3) open an email that is used to acknowledge your registration.

AAA Math

http://www.aaamath.com
These web pages illustrate and provide interactive basic mathematics exercises and problems for the elementary and middle school grades.  They contain a series of basic math lessons and activities that can be used by math students in formal elementary education math classes, in home schooling activities, and in after-school programs anywhere.  Many of the problems have interactive feedback for students.  Interactive lessons provide animated illustrations of the concepts, immediate feedback when incorrect answers are given by the student, active reinforcement, and links to other resources.  This site is an excellent resource for parents who are looking for math activities to help their children learn basic concepts and for basic practice in the application of those concepts.
