Red Foxes
http://www.foxforest.org
In the
fox forest, you will discover how the often misunderstood red fox lives, the
challenges they face, and how they overcome those challenges. You will find information about growing up,
natural dangers, the “season of travel,” and building a family. You’ll find great information about food,
fur, and a fox’s life. This is a very
interesting site about the “cat-like canine.”

Word Puzzle Maker and Helper
http://68.38.162.231/fcgi-bin/complete.pl
This site
has a host of tools to help create and solve word puzzles. For example, on the Crossword Helper page,
you can find any crossword puzzle word by entering the length of the word you
don’t know and giving the letters you do know – a seven-letter word with “t”
and “h” in the fourth and fifth places (listed 73 such words in
English). That’s just one of the tools
on this website. You can make
anagrams, translate your text into “pig Latin,” find words in a word, get
help with Scrabble, and more. There’s
also a dictionary and a couple of word games.
This is an excellent site for building student interest in the words
of our language (and you can choose a language besides English, too).

competitions, and web-based projects for students. In addition, there are links to public
domain and shareware software that can be used in math classes. There is a section called “Pop
Mathematics,” which includes the math that “made your teacher get so excited
about mathematics.”

Color Theory for Students
and Teachers
http://members.cox.net/mrsparker2/
What
is color theory? Basically, it's having
the knowledge to mix colors and put colors together in a way that is right
for your art work. It is an element
of art (parts of
a work of art - color, value, line, shape, form, texture, and space) that,
along with the principles of design, help you create and talk about art. This site has online activities for all age
groups, including online activities, art room activities, teacher resources,
samples of artwork, and references for each resource. The site also includes lists of other sites
related to art. This is an excellent
resource for teachers to incorporate into lessons and student
activities. It also provides excellent
references and resources for students who are designing their own works.
