Snakes of the Savannah
River Site
http://www.uga.edu/~srelherp/snakes/index.htm
The Savannah River
Ecology Lab at the University of Georgia has created this website about all
the snakes found at the Savannah River Site – the Federal nuclear site on the
Savannah River in Allendale and Aiken counties. The snakes found at SRS are typical of
those found in most of Georgia and South Carolina.
The site provides high quality photographs of each snake as well as a
short description of its range, its habitat, and the likelihood of finding
it. This is an excellent site to help
in identifying any snake you find.
Remember to be careful when approaching any snake until you are
absolutely certain about its identity.

Planet Pictures
http://pds.jpl.nasa.gov/planets/welcome.htm
This website contains
a comprehensive collection of the best images from NASA's planetary
exploration program. The images were
taken during satellite missions to or near each planet or through the Hubble
Space Telescope. Each photo has
descriptions of the prominent features, an interesting fact about the planet,
and some information about the source of the photo. Everybody knows about the Great Red Spot on
Jupiter – but do you know about “Scooter”?
