Important Teacher Notes

·    Now is a great time to back up files on your laptop.  Use your flash drive, or a CD to back up information that needs to be saved.  Teachers can also use their network drive to back up information, but remember: the network drive is not accessible from home.  Directions for backing up files (written by OCS technician, Donald Mack) can be found on the new “Technology Survival Guide” webpage.

·                     Be sure to “browse” the summer issues of TWTW for interesting and amusing information as well ideas for your students for 2009-2010.

·    Tech Tip: How to sort data in Word
To alphabetize a list you've typed in Word, make sure you typed each list item on a separate line (i.e. clicked Enter/Return between items.)  Then click Table > Sort and OK.  If text other than the list appears on your page, highlight the list before sorting.
