Photo Story 3

1/15/08  Microsoft’s Photo Story 3 is a free downloadable program that offers the user a variety of ways to use his/her photos.  Not only can the user edit pictures, but he/she can create slideshows with special effects, music, sounds, and narration.  Photo Story 3 also offers the user the option to add titles and/or captions to the slideshow.  File sizes in Photo Story 3 are small, making it easier to share.

Photo Story 3 can be a creative alternative to PowerPoint.  Because it is so user-friendly, students can “drag and drop” pictures, add special effects and enhance their writing with digital storytelling.  What a great tool to entice students to write!
